Night Sweats and Blood Emissions

Night Sweats and Blood Emissions

I am a 56yr old male.   Have suffered profuse night sweating for last 5yrs.  last 12 mths I have experienced patches of blood, mixed with the sweat, appearing on the bedclothes & nightshirt...neck & chest area only.  I am also under medical investigation for skin rashes, & pimples that can occur anywhere on my body.  I've had 9mths of medical investigation..nil diagnosis gained.  Pathology has shown constant raised white cell count of 23-26,000.  Also had colonoscopy, endoscopy, bronchoscopy, CT scan & bone scan, bone marrow biopsy, barium meal, & plain X-rays.   Plus countless blood tests & 24hr urine tests.  Suspected carcinoid tumor has not been found, nor any other sinister diseases that may have been mentioned as possibility.  In other words...nothing "yet" has been found.

I'm feeling frustrated as my symptoms continue, and would appreciate any comments you may be able to offer.   I'm still under medical investigation for all the above.   Thank you for your time.

Bazz:

I'm afraid I can't comment much about your medical problem, which sounds very distressing indeed.  All I can suggest is that the rash and pimples you describe may well be "blocked pores" brought on by the intermittent, hectic fevers and attendant sweating. It does not sound as though the skin conditions are materially related to your underlying problem, whatever that may turn out to be.  Other than doing your best to keep the body and skin cool and dry, there's not much I can add.

Good luck to you.\
