My monthly blood tests have come back normal except the elevated level of Cholesterol. STD's have been negative except for HSV 1&2 and what my doctor and I think is mulloscum contagiosum(mostly on penis).
I have never had a HSV2 breakout anywhere but prop was exposed during my life. HSV1 and mulloscum on the penis are so similar that I cant really tell them apart when it comes to the proper home treatment. For HSV1, I use Valtrex, which works well. Mulloscum (if thats what is really is) seems is more difficult to treat. My conditions: Acne, HSV1, Mulloscum are very similar in nature as they all have a white core when forming under the skin. This recent treatment of Accutane has been pulling things out of my skin that I never imagined where in there(really disgusting) including a stye in my left eye.
I recently developed a 'breakout' on the shaft of my penis which always start out very small and then gets out of control. I took my Valtrex for 2 weeks.....still there. Then I tried my OTC products Acne med including salicylic acid, tee tree oil, hydocortisone, silver, vinegar, Neosporin......still there. Then I went and got Dr Scholls Feeze off wart remover(this does work for mulloscum). Lightly froze it and let it heal for 2 weeks. The skin around it didnt heal properly. I squeezed it and some of the white curly curd came out, the sac was prob very deep and big.(i had this a year ago in the same location on the penis, figure didnt get it all).
To get it all, I re-froze it but over did it and now have an infection that looks like a form of Lichen Simplex(also looks likes a Syphilis chancre). A hard white skin like callous center surrounded by red inflamation (inflammation) about the size of a nickel. I went to urgent care after this condition got worse. I am on a 10 day oral antiboitic(keflex) and topical antiboitic(bactroban). My 6th day is Monday, 5-4, There has been some improvement so far but not really healing. Still some burning and itching and when I pull the band aid off to replace, still seems to bleed a little bit. I did pull out what looked like a cutaneous horn after the bactroban started working slightly removing the callous. Under magnifcation, the removed skin has a scratchy appearance, but the 'horn' just maybe skin or dried blood.
How much of these skin issues are hereditary and have a pre-disposition for infection?
All of my family has skin issues, Acne, boils, moles, cold sores...etc
I have been doing a lot of internet research on skin disorders to see whats really wrong with my skin or me.
My next Accutane apt is Friday, what should my doctor and I look for if the antibotics didnt work?
salicylic acid poisoning?
Lichen simplex?
an autoimmune disorder?
Gram-negative?
A yeast infection?
a form of Skin cancer?
Allergies?
Dermatitis / Folliculitis?
