Not an angioma?

Hi, in the past month I noticed what I first thought to be an angioma develop on my scrotum. I knew this was abnormal for a 22 year old but I was not concerned until recently when a slight scratch (pinprick size hole) caused it to bleed for approximately 15-30 minutes. After doing some reading on cherry angiomas (this is less than 1/4 an inch across), I noticed that what I have is much more defined and rounded than a typical angioma. It looks as though a single blood vessel, rather than a collection, has protruded beyond the skin, perfectly rounded. It is dark red/purple in color. Applying very slight pressure will cause blood to leave the growth, after which it will quickly refill. I have experienced no pain or discomfort from it. Is this just an angioma?

The specialist said it was just a hemangioma, I will be treated next week.

An initial visit to my doctor revealed nothing, blood tests were done and everything came back normal. I was referred to a specialist and I will post back here what I find out.

Since the male penis carries much blood throughout it ( more when erection occurs ) this is possible, however,
I would still recommend seeing a doctor to rule out other things as well.
