Not sure if I should post this here but I think I have an infection in my arm

Ok I am on methadone and I've gone and gotten myself back chasing my dragons again. Well besides that, I have a nasty spot on my arm where I shot up last week. Not sure what it is. I know that I "missed' but now it's really swollen and theres a lump and it's hot to the touch. I'm adding a picture you can kinda see it. Anyone know if it;s an infection or just a blown vein?

I have the same, but with fever. A friend talked me into doin this and I think the water he used was contaiminated. I've been giving myself 600,000 units of Penicillin G Procaine IM suspension for 2 days every 12 hrs., and orally taking 500mg Ciprofloxacin

Hello,
From the symptoms it looks like thrombophlebitis or phlebitis which is infected.
Apply some cold compresses on the site and take some over the counter non steroidal anti inflammatory pain killers like ibuprofen or diclofenac. Also consult a physician at the earliest as antibiotics are needed.
I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted in case you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.

Ive got some amoxicillan at home would that do the trick? I'm trying to avoid that trip to the doc and explaining how I've done this to myself. But I will if necessary.

Thanks for your help though

That is an infection not just a blown vein.  It looks kinda like a MRSA.  You need to go to the doctor and get antibotics.  It will just get worse a lot worse.
