I have jockJock itch itch a lot during the summerSummers eve anti-itch. I use a combination of anti-monkey butt powder and jockJock itch itch powder. However, in an area on my scrotum right before my thigh I noticed a lot of peeling skin the other day. And then today I noticed a bump and I popped it and water came out and it left a circular sore and there are other remnants of healed skin. It doesn't itch and isn't painfulPainful menstrual periods except if I touch the sore. I never had an experience like this before and Im going to the clinic on Saturday but a wondering if jockJock itch itch or ring worm can cause sores like the ones Ive described or if it might be an indication of herpes?
Hello,
From the symptoms it looks like folliculitis or boils. Folliculitis is the inflammation of one or more hair follicles.
Please keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case. Herpes Herpes also presents with red itchy blisters which scab over. Herpes simplex is most easily transmitted by direct contact with a lesion or the body fluid of an infected individual. The only way of ruling it out is by getting yourself tested for genital herpes. Laboratory tests include: culture of the virus, direct fluorescent antibody (DFA) studies to detect virus, skin biopsy, and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) to test for presence of viral DNA. I sincerely advise you to consult a dermatologist and get it ruled out.
Hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries. Warm regards.
