by Mythicsage, Sep 01, 2009 11:53AM
This happend about a 2 weeks ago. I had a bump on my left hand little lower from my pinky finger. I had the urdge to pop it. So i did. And now i have around 20-30 bubbles/bumps like that. They Itch. But only puss if i pop them. Old ones dry out but more pop up in random spots. I have been trying to wait it out. But it's not going away.

My first guess was posin ivy. then it was Hives. im not sure. im not really allergic to anything. i might have just become allergic to something i eat daily.

i need help to get rid of it any ideas?

Hello,
I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be dyshidrotic eczema. Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps. For mild-moderate eczema a weak steroid may be used (e.g. hydrocortisone as dermacort), whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid (e.g. clobetasol propionate, fluocinonide).

Eczema can be exacerbated by dryness of the skin. Use good quality moisturizers to prevent moisture loss from the skin.

If still the symptoms do not improve then pls get a clinical examination done by a dermatologist.

I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted in case you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.
