Nummular eczema and swelling

I wash recently diagnosed with Nummular eczema by my dermatologist. With two of my skin lesions I experienced swelling and cramping in the muscles around them. My doctor said he had no idea why this could be. Does anyone have an idea? The swollen area is not red, and when this happens the lesion is usually near a joint.

These lesions do not sound like nummular dermatitis. To confirm the diagnosis, I suggest you to get an evaluation done form a dermatologist and get a skin biopsy done. In this a skin lesion is removed and sent to the pathologist to render a microscopic diagnosis. It will give a confirmatory diagnosis.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
