Odd bruising

I have a bruise on my forearm with a flesh colored circle in the middle of the bruise.  I also have a hematoma located in that circle but not the center.  Why would the center of the bruise not look bruised when just 2 days ago it was bruised almost pinkish in the center.  It was a fairly hard hit to my arm that caused the bruise.

The blood under the skin which causes the discoloration of bruising should be totally reabsorbed by the body in three weeks or less.

The fading of the centre is due to healing of the hematoma after bruising and now there should be color chages like blue and yellow coloration because of break down of hemoglobin. In case there is severe pain, redness and warmth of the area then infection should be suspected. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

How long before the hematoma will go away?  It feels smaller but protrudes slightly from my arm.  Most of the bruising is gone or faded but the lump still remains.

If it persists for more then it may be due to formation of hematoma because of blood trapped in tissues. This blood may need to be drained. I hope it helps. Take care and regards
