Odd...Rash?

For a few weeks now I've had an odd rash type breakout across my chest and back. Typically the area is discolored as shown in the picture and usually lacks any other issues. At times though after being outside for a bit in warm/hot weather or getting sweaty through random tasks it'll grow a darker red and have what I can best describe as a stinging pain.

When this originally arose I addressed the docs (I'm in the military) who though lacking much of a clue informed me to simply continue to wash it until it gets better, which it hasn't. I've questioned them multiple times and they seem to give me the run around. I shower daily and tend to lather, scrub, rinse, and repeat two or three times while in the shower. I was curious on if anyone had any ideas and/or any remedies seeing as the medical I'm currently able to get is proving useless.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
From the symptoms the possibility of heat rash needs to be ruled out. It tends to occur on areas of the body where skin touches skin, such as under the breasts, on the inner thighs, and under the arms. Tiny red spots with itching and pricking sensation are the characteristic appearance of this rash.

Avoid using any lotions and creams for the meantime. Use a mild cleanser with moisturizing properties like Cetaphil. Also use cotton clothes and change the clothes twice if there is any increased sweating. Try keeping the skin free of sweat as far as possible. If the symptoms still persist then you can apply mild steroid like dermacort. For the itching antihistaminics like Benadryl or Claritin can be taken.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
