Only one folliculitiis bump?

Is it possible to only one folliculitis bump in an area? Or is there always more than one in the general area?

Folliculitis is the inflammation of one or more hair follicles. The condition may occur anywhere on the skin. The condition usually presents with multiple bumps that are red initially and may form a head but in some cases single infected hair follicle is also found.

Folliculitis starts when hair follicles are damaged by friction from clothing or blockage of the follicle. In most cases of folliculitis, the damaged follicles are then infected with the bacteria Staphylococcus (staph).
