Orange skin?

Yesterday morning I woke up with three orange spots on my fingers and immediately worried about what it could be. I showered, scrubbed at it, it wouldn't come off. Later throughout the day it disappeared on it's own and I thought I was done with it, but when I woke up this morning it's back again - in the exact same location and pattern (tried to take a photo but my camera isn't alive so I have to charge it). I'm 18 years old (figured my age would help somehow) and I live in Ohio so typically it's around 35-45 at night in the fall. When talking to a friend over the phone about it, she mentioned some people claiming to get orange/rust colored spots when it's cold and many have been told it's Fungus. I'll post a photograph of it when my camera is charged, if it's still there but it's starting to bother me. It doesn't itch or anything but I hate seeing it. Also, the only way I can think of to describe the color is: Crayola orange. Very "bad spray tan in a can" color. (and no I don't go tanning)

Do you eat a lot of orange food? sometimes the carotine in food can turn skin orange.

I eat a lot of tomatoes but they're more of a red than an orange.

I don't have insurance at the moment, so basically my main question is - is it worth seeing my doctor about or will it clear up on it's own?
