Oval Rash on Neck

Hi I have two oval shaped rashes on both sides of my neck , right below my cheeks, they are probably about 3 inches in size, they get very irritated in the cold but other then that I cant tell they are there, I have had them for about 2 months now, they feel like eczema but does eczema usually last this long? any ideas on what it could be?

Hi,

The neck rash could be due to several causes. You would need to see a skin specialist to rule out eczema, sweat dermatitis, heat rash, acne, folliculitis, impetigo, tinea, even lupus, etc.

You could take some oral antihistamine or antiallergic medications like loratadine or cetrizine and see if it helps with your symptoms. Apply calamine lotion at the site of the lesions to help soothe the itching.

What other symptoms are you having? Since when have you noticed the lesions?

Are you allergic to any specific substances?
