Oven scars

Hello, i am an uninsured college student who is looking for answers. i have always had thin skin and growing up a skater scars were a part of life. unfortunately as a cook the discoloration of old burn scars is becoming a great problem on my arms and i have not seen any results from mederma. i was wondering what options i have since my main concern is getting my skin back to an overall even tone so i can end this embarrassment and show my arms again

most of these burns are 3-6months old and i was wondering if there is any hope?

Hi,
Even if left untreated burn scars will eventually fade and to return to the even skin tone it may take a couple of years.
You can try skin lightening agents like Hydroquinone 2-4%.Hydroquinone, 2% Skin Lightening Cream should be applied to affected areas and rubbed in well once or twice daily. Since hydroquinone lightens on a gradual basis (depending on skin pigmentation and other factors) it can take up to 6 weeks before you start to see results.
Also other creams containing Azelaic acid/Kojic acid can be tried.
