PENIS DISCOLORATION AFTER UNPROTECTED SEX

PENIS DISCOLORATION AFTER UNPROTECTED SEX

Hi,
I'm a 25 year old male who had unprotected sex with a female at the end of July. The next morning I woke up with a bright red discoloration on my penis and my foreskin looked raw.I went to an STD clinic and the results all came out negative. The doctor didn't know whether I had a rash or a yeast infection.I was given Triamcinolone and bacitracin zinc to mix together and apply 3 times a day.The foreskin healed but the discoloration stayed. It's been months now and it won't go away and my general doctor said it's nothing but it wasn't there before the sex I'm 100% sure.

Welcome to the Dermatology Expert Forum!

Based on few information you provided, seems like post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation that persists after initial skin lesions. It is harmless, but may stay for a while.

If any other objective (visible) or subjective (such as itch, pain, etc.) symptom appear in future, then cause should be established by your physician.

FYI - Yeast infection should be diagnosed (KOH direct preparation, and culture) before therapy is initiated. Then, it is treated with topical antifungal medications, not with corticosteroid + antibiotic topical combination.
