I suggest you watch your symptoms for another day or so. Since you shave there, it could be a shaving-related condition, especially if you do not normally shave. JockJock itch itch is another possibility. Herpes lesions vary in size, but I've never heard of herpes minus any lesions, plus, the first outbreak of herpes is supposed to be incredibly painful as well as burning and itching. You should look up herpes information online and see if you have similarities to it. If you see any lesions or it doesn't improve within a day, go ahead to the doctor. If it is herpes, they can get you on Valtrex, which will not only clear it up fast, but it has been shown to prevent future outbreaks if you take it for your first one. And, of course, you owe it to future sexual partners to know for sure if you have an STD. Herpes is not the worst one to have BY FAR, so don't freak out. Good luck! =)
