a few months ago. I noticed this mark in the last few weeks and it has not seemed to change. It feels smooth and reminds me of a scar or a callus. I masterbate daily and the mark is at a place of friction on top of small vains. It is also within the circumcised area under the glans (glands).
Looking through grotesque photos online the most similar looking think I found was skin cancer. Also I am living
Hi,
This could be due to an infection since you have mentioned it was after sex.Balanitis is inflammation of the glans (glands) penis. it can be caused by irritation or an infection.
Treatment for balanitis depends on the underlying cause. If there is an infection, treatment will include an appropriate antibiotic or antifungal medication.
It is best that you get it examined to rule out anything serious. Also the correct treatment can be initiated when the correct diagnosis is made.
To prevent recurrences of inflammation it is important that you maintain good hygiene in the groin area.
Hi,
Thank you for the advice. As my photo shows the mark is not actually on the glans (glands), so I am not sure if balanitis makes sense, but I guess it could be some other sort of infection. Would it be normal for an infection like that to be totally painless? I guess you are right, I should have it looked at. If it doesn't change in the coming weeks is it okay for me to ignore it - or would you say it's possibly something I should take more seriously. Thanks!
