My ten year old son just suddenly developed Peeling Feet, severely peeling feet. You just barely touch them and dead skin falls off. There is also a small amount of peeling on his hands
, but not nearly like his feet. It literally was Not there the night before, and now it is. He has no rash anywhere on his body, he has not been sick, this does not hurt it is just awful looking and embarassing for him. What do you think it could be?
peeling of the palms and less often the soles. The first sign is one or more superficial air-filled blisters that burst to leave oval, tender, peeled areas. The symptoms are aggravated by exposure to irritants including water, soap, detergents and solvents. Eventually normal skin forms, but frequently exfoliative keratolysis recurs within a few weeks. Protection the skin from irritants and emollient hand
creams may help. However, if this does not help, it would be good to see your doctor for proper evaluation and management. You can read more about this through this link: http://www.dermnetnz.org/dermatitis/exfoliative-keratolysis.html
