Thank you! I'm going to try and get on a course of antibiotics from my doctor. I felt that topical creams made the problem worst so I'm gonna try and stay away from them. I've had this problem for almost 2 months and haven't seen any sores or any discharge or pain with urination so you wouldn't think it would be any type of STI right? It definitely has gotten better since the first 3 weeks since taking the dilufican but I feel that I need antibiotics to fully kick it.
Hello,
This rash can be due to allergic contact dermatitis. The second possibility is of any infection or balanitis. Oral course of antibiotics is needed. In addition, don’t use any cosmetics on the penis, instead use some topical antimicrobials like Bacitracin or Lotrimin. Also corticosteroids and topical immunosuppressants can be used but they are available under prescription. Taking anti inflammatory drugs like Ibuprofen under a doctor’s guidance also helps. Also retract the foreskin daily and soak in warm water to clean penis and foreskin. In case the symptoms persist then consult a urologist/dermatologist for evaluation.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
