Penis problem! I seen 4 doctors! I need your opinion!

Hi doctor,

I have been suffering from a penile condition for the last 8 months. This has happened at least 8 times in the 8 months or so and last about 3-4 days and clears up. I am a straight married latino male in good shape in my mid thrities! Not circumszed! I'm confident I am clean, but always concerned about my health.

I take a multi vitamin and extra zinc(25mg) 3 times a week.

I smoke regularly.

I recently got my yearly physical which included all stds testing. Positive for HSV1(never got a cold sore ever).

I seen 3 general doctors, 1 urologist and 1 determ ,no luck!

I am not going to tell you what they think it mighht be, because I want your professional opinion. If you think this is an std can you please refer to the std(Dr. Rockoff) or at least show him the picture to get his opinion. I need an answer to move on!!!!

I have to be honest this is not my penis, but I found it on the net and i'm confident this is what I am suffering from.

Thanks

From the photo it could be  yeast infection, though I wouldn't expect that to recur so often.  It may also be balanitis, a form of eczema.  Neither is an STD.  I suggest you try over-the-counter clotrimazole 1% twice a day and re-consult your dermatologist.  I'm not sure whether by 'no luck' you mean that nothing happened or whether you mean the rash cleared up but came back.  If it's eczema, that comes and goes, so all you can do is suppress it, but at least you can do that, and that counts as success.

Take care.
