Penis problem

by morfirepower, Oct 10, 2005 12:00AM
Hello,

Since i was about 14 i have noticed a strange line of redness on my penis. Almost like the way a vein would run through it but it looks like a fungus of some sort and branches off into two directions toward the base of my penis. It is not the skin more of a fungus growing off of it as if you run your finger across it, it is raised above the skin.
I have shown this to my doctor and he says it is related to another problem i have with my scrotam sack which is very red and itches quite a lot and also appears to be cause#ing itching behind the backs of my legs i am being treated for the redness of my sack but not for the strange fungus type thing on my penis. Any ideas as to what the redness on my scrotam and itching behind the legs could be also?

I have been checked by a clinic and do not have any STD so it is not related so that but it id of great concern for me especially when girls are up close and personal with it.

Really dont think it should be there and im now 25 and think its time it should be gone. Any information or ideas as to what it could be would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

I doubt there is anything wrong with you at all.  I think you are describing superficial blood vessels you can see because they are close to the skin surface.  This is common, part of normal anatomical variation (in other words, many people have it), and there's nothing that either should or can be done.  Please get other opinions if you wish, but if they agree with mine, your partners will just have to take you as you are.

Best.

Sounds like Tinea to me.
The itching and redness is the clue.
Try antifungal creams and get a second opinion
