Perioral Dermatitis (rash around muzzle) Help!!!

I have Perioral Dermatitis... What can I do to make it go away without antibiotics? I'm currently using Benzoyl Peroxide. Also, the dry skin makes my face burn, what can I do to moisturize my face without making it worse?

Hello,
The primary treatment of perioral dermatitis is antibiotics. Treatment consists of oral antibiotics like doxycycline and minocycline and anti-inflammatory drugs. A mild soap or soap substitute, such as Dove or Cetaphil should be used for washing. Scrubbing should be avoided. You can also apply a hypoallergenic non perfumed moisturizer on the face.

If the symptoms persist then please get an evaluation done from a dermatologist.
I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

Actually I do not recommend using Cetaphil.  I always find it interesting when Cetaphil is suggest for Perioral Dermatitis, because Sodium Lauryl Sulfate is one thing that can actually cause PD and it is in Cetpahil.  So make sure you find something without SLS.  SLS might not cause PD for everyone, but for me it's one of the causes.
