Pimple or Herpes

by wilson22207, Feb 27, 2005 12:00AM
I wrote about a month ago asking about a pimple on penis. you said, sounds like pimple since it had puss when I squeezed.  It is on the underside of my penis halfway from the top.  You also told me to wait for test results.  I had popped it the day before test and doc said I shouldn't have.  She was able to get a little of the white puss/oil that comes out after pimple on to the swab for testing.  she took blood too.  She called me back to say everything was negative, i don't have to worry.

but now, a month later the pimple is back.

what do u think?

herpes misdiagnosis?  was the oil/puss sample she took enough? how about the blood sample since i had breif oral 8 days before i popped the pimple?

please help, i thought i was in the clear, but since it came back i'm worried.

also, i had a swollen groin gland the first time.  Doc put me on antibiotics.

what should i do?  could it still be herpes?  did i get the blood tests too early after possible infection?

and if it isn't hepres? then what could it be??

No, recurrent pimple.

Please, do yourself a favor and ask the doctor whether the blood test she drew was a type-specific herpes 2 test.  If it was, and it was negative, then I think you should leave the pimple alone and forget about it.  If it wasn't, then please get one, and when it comes back negative, then forget about it.  Herpes is not the only thing that recurs.

Best.
