Pimple or cold sore?

It doesn't itch and only has a little bit of pain, I popped it yesterday thinking it was a pimple and a clear puss came out and there was a little blood.  It seems to have gone down in size, I have been washing it with antibacterial soap and keeping it dry.

I just asked the last person I hooked up with and she just got tested last Friday and she was clean, and it had been awhile since I hooked up before her, so I am hoping it is just a pimple.  I don't share drinks or anything with anyone.

From the symptoms it looks like an infected hair follicle rather than a cold sore. Keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case.
