Pimple that won't go away!

Hi,

I have had this pimple on my right cheek for about a month now. I have tryed everything and it just won't go away! I have never had a problem with acne or pimples before. Normally when I get a pimple it will go away within a few days-week. I heard that this could be a sign of skin cancer. I am terrified! I don't spend alot of time in the sun because I am very fair skinned but I suppose this could be a possibility. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

One possibility for such type of pimple can be a cyst. They may occur anywhere on body but scalp, ears, back, face, and upper arm, are common sites for sebaceous cysts. Blocked sebaceous glands, swollen hair follicles and excessive testosterone production will cause such cysts.

I suggest you to get it examined from a dermatologist and get cyst ruled out. Then the possibility of any benign skin growth can also be ruled out.
