Pimple type sores around ear

I love 44 year old caucasian male with what seems to be pimples around one ear that don't go away. I'd say they been there for least a few months and they don't get any larger. I  do have the occasional ingrown hairs. I do shave my head regularly and I shower daily. What could this be?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
These pimple type sores can be due to folliculitis or cysts. Keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics and warm compresses. Also use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove.Avoid any kind of cosmetics and check your hair for dandruff.  Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics and incision and drainage may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
