Pinkish spots from impetigo left on my face

I had impetigo two-three months ago but I cured it. However I noticed that when I blow my nose, it gets red( the same spots where the impetigo was) I tried putting a little natural oil every day for about a month. However that didn't help. Doctors tell me that that redness is supposed to go away in a week or two after the impetigo is cured. It's not severe redness but when it look kind of pinkish. Is that ever going to go away? How should I help it? Please Help. Thank you.

It is common for impetigo scars to appear after the infection. These are usually not permanent except when complicated by ecthyema. They should go away gradually but if they persist then treatment can be started.  Treatment involves hydroquinone, azelaic acid, corticosteroids, tretinoin cream and laser treatment. Please discuss these options with your dermatologist before using them.
