Please Help Me Find Closure (only dr. rockoff reply please)

Dr. Rockoff I have another question for you.

You may remember my previous posts. I am the guy that had a woman put the head of my unprotected penis in her mouth for three seconds.  This was at a massage parlor so I am sure she is a high risk.

Stupid, stupid, stupid I know. This was 125 days ago today. In these past four months I have been very scared of getting an STD. I have written to you a few times. Twice were for what I thought were pimples on my scrotum (and you agreed)

I have not had any other problems at all with my penis. As I mentioned I had two bumps in completely different locations on the underside of my scrotum that both acted like pimples. These were over a three month period.

I have not had any bumps on my penis.  I have been checking myself too often and like many other people that post here I am terrified that I could have picked up something.

Researching the situation on the net only makes things more scary for all of us.

I have not had any fever, no increase in urination frequency,  and no swollen nodes in my groin. Just guilt and a lot of it.

I know you can catch herpes, syphilis, gon. and chyl. from this activity.

I want to ask your opinion as a medical doctor. If I came to your office as your patient and told you that on July 30 a women put the head, and only the head, of my penis in her mouth for no more than 5 seconds and that I have not had any penis problems other than the pimples in different locations on my scrotum and an overactive imagination (due to guilt) what would you tell me?

It is almost impossible for me to schedule a doctor’s appointment. I am in business with my family, and I can never get away without someone knowing where I am at all times.

The encounter was while I was out of town on business).

If I have anything I guess I am asymptomatic. What do you think? I so badly want to close the book on this and move on. I was petrified of HIV so I took four test using Home
Access. All negative.

Do you think given the fact that I have no symptoms in the past four months that I can let this thing go and resume a normal life? The guilt is bothering me more than anything.

Your opinion means a lot to me. Please tell me what you would tell me if I came to you as your patient in your office. I admire you, and I feel like you are my Doctor even though
this is just virtual. Thank you for your reply.

PLEASE NO ONE ELSE REPLY. DR. ROCKOFF ONLY!

If you came to me, I would tell you that on clinical and historical grounds, you almost certainly do not have herpes.  To close the matter, I would order a syphilis test and herpes antibody tests.  When they came back negative, I would advise you to seek counseling if your anxieties continue.  You might also want to take up the way in which proximity to your family makes it impossible for you to even schedule a doctor's appointment.  As an adult, you need, I think, at least a bit of personal space.

Take care.
