I'm no doctor but when I was a lot younger I made the mistake of shaving my bikini line. Once and it was more than enough. I ended up with a horrible infection, with boils. You might have an infection too. I'd see a doctor for some antibotics and maybe some topical cream for the itching
. Please keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics and warm compresses. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics and incision
may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
To prevent this, when you want to shave your bikini area, always use a brand new razor, the more blades the better, three seems to work well. Try to only shave over one area as few times as possible. Then exfoliate a little with a soft poof while in the shower. When you're out of the shower, apply neosporin to the area to avoid getting any bacteria in that area. Should be less suseptible in a day or two. There's also a professional product called Finapil that works well post shave to prevent issues.
