Please help asap!!!!!!!!!

About a year ago i developed some "spots" on thighs and around my hip area/butt area. They were red, and slightly raised. They also had a scaley look to them, and at times there were flakes of dead skin sticking up. They did itch but not terribly. They are mostly shaped as ovals but some have very irregular borders.
They went away after a while and I did not worry about them untill I took notice of another spot, that was in the same area as before. There was mostly one spot for a while, then i began to notice three or four more. The first spot i noticed is almost completely gone, but i have started to get smaller bumps that are much smaller than the first ones and more raised. They all have flakes of dry skin stuck to them. And they are mostly right near my arm-pits and down my sides, under my pits. I also have one on my chest, and a few develping under my pectoral muscles. I also seem to see some on my back, but I cant be sure (due to acne). All of these spots have a shape like that od an oval.

thanks for your help

Hello,

Without examination, confirmation of a diagnosis is tough but it can be discoid eczema ,pityriasis rosea, fungal infection like ringworm or psoriasis.

Pityriasis rosea is a common human skin disease which presents as numerous patches of pink or red oval rash. The rash may be accompanied by low-grade headache, fever, nausea and fatigue and sometimes by itching.

No treatment is usually required. In most patients, the condition lasts only a matter of weeks or months(upto six months)

If the rash persists then it will be best to get it evaluated from a dermatologist.Other possibilities have to be ruled out then.

Hope it helps. Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing if you have any additional queries.
