Please interpret my test results for herpes

by Mandy1229, Aug 03, 2008 02:29AM
My one and only boyfriend of 2 and a half years cannot believe that he caused me to have Herpes Simplex virus 1 in my genitals. (He french kissed me down there). I need you to write a statement addressing the possibility that he could very well have given it to me, since he has had Herpes Simplex Virus 1 in the form of cold sores around his mouth. In addition, I think the lab test results show that I had an initial infection, and not one from months or years before this. Please clarify for me and him what this means:

Test Name                                                             Result Value                             Reference Range
HSV Type Specific I and II antibody, IGG-REF
Herpes Simplex Virus II IGG
TPE SPECIFIC ANTIBODY^^-ref                               0.591V                                     <0.90

HERPES SIMPLEX VIRUS 1 IGG
TYPE SPECIFIC ANTIBODY^^-REF                           2.92IV                                     <0.90

I am eagerly looking forward to your reply. Sincerely yours, Mandy1229
