Plugged or clogged wax glands

Hello--I noticed a skin growth on back right side of my anus a couple of months ago.  If I had to describe it I would say a white/flesh colored growth.  It is almost like another piece of skin growing.  I have no pain with it and it is very soft to the touch.  It is rather small, maybe less than 1/2"  and in the shape of a football, not circular.  I had my annual exam at my gynocologist yesterday and I had him check it.  He said it was a clogged wax gland and acted like it wasn't abnormal.  He said these also appear on the labia sometimes.  Well, I cannot find any info online about wax gland around the anus.  Did I just misunderstand him?  Does any of this sound familiar to you and do you thing I should get a second opinion and if so with another gynocologist or a dermatologist?  Thanks for your help.

I think what he meant was a clogged follicle containing waxy material that looks like pus inside.  This is a form of small cyst that is commonly found anywhere on the body, including the groin.  I'm sure your gynecologist is familiar with normal groin anatomy, so you shouldn't have to double-check his diagnoses on-line.  If you have doubts, perhaps you should call him and ask.
