MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Poikiloderma of Civette can be due to sun exposure and hormonal factors and treatment consists of sun protection, using non perfumed soaps and cosmetics, hydroquinone,  use of alpha hydroxy-acids and tretinoin and pulsed dye laser (PDL) and intense pulsed light (IPL).

The laser treatment that you have undergone should help you. Follow your doctors’s advice and the redness will be gone.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Ok no one obviously has had it done! I ended up having it done, and MAN!!! I gotta tell you! It HURT! Had large welts all over my neck and purple bruises that looked like massive hickies!
2nd day after it was done and now looks alot better, but is swollen which will take time to heal. Used ice packs for the first 3 hours of having it done which seems to have helped to not bring any bruising.
Will see in a few weeks if it has worked!
