Polyps

Hi I have a growth like a polyp near my nipple since I was a teenager.  Right now it is draining pus-like stuff on my bra and is very tender.  My breast is also tender.  I do not have a family doctor but I go to the walk-in clinic at times.  Can you tell me what is happening?

It can be due to a cyst or a benign growth which is draining after becoming infected. Generally no treatment is required but they become painful or drain pus then it means they are infected, then surgical excision by traditional wide excision, minimal excision, and punch biopsy excision may be required.
