Pores

by Cymraes, Oct 22, 2009 12:41PM
I have a strange skin problem. Recently I have noticed tiny dots of liquid coming from the pores on my nose. It's barely noticable but I get quite paranoid about it and it's annoying with my make up. I'm pretty sure it's not sweat and I definitely don't have oily skin (I have eczema). What else could it be and how can I stop it? I have actually had a new foundation recently (17 sheer moisture) and it's since around that time I have noticed it happening. Could this have anything to do with it? It looks like tiny drops of water on my nose and I also have a few blackheads on the sides of my nose so I was thinking maybe it's something to do with large pores? The skin is also very dry. Could treatments for eczema be causing it?

To: Cymraes,
Hello,

It can be due to blockage of the sebaceous glands. It can be easily dealt with proper cleansing and frequent toning and moisturizing of the skin. Try using hypoallergenic non perfumed moisturizer which does not block the pores. Other treatments to consider include microdermabrasion, skin resurfacing lasers and chemical skin peels.

In my opinion you should discuss these treatment options with a cosmetologist/dermatologist.
I hope that helps. Take care and please do keep us posted in case you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.

thanks, that's really useful. i have to use a very thick moisturiser (epaderm) for my eczema so it might be blocking my pores. I'll try using a lighter moisturiser on my nose instead.
