Posion Ivy type rash on nose

Posion Ivy type rash on nose

The last week of November I started with a little rash on my nose. It acted just like poison ivy, I had hiked in the woods 3 days earlier, so I was not surprised. It went away after a week. The surprising thing is it came back in the exact same spot on the nose a week later. It has now developed a pattern of coming back on same spot on nose for a week and leaving totally for a week five times now in a row. I had thrown out all my makeup and have not hiked in the woods since November, no pets to get it from. It does not spread even though it has a clear yellowish watery discharge from 3 to 5 red bumps. I do not scratch it, but it itches. when it goes away each time you, it leaves no scar and is totally gone. I am in great health and have had current physical check up and am not health compromised. I am 48 year old female and stopped having periods around the same time this rash started. I am currently not on medication.  I would love to stop this cycle of  oosing nose rash. My mother claimed to have lupus for a few years and then was diagnosed with colitis, my mother had the butterfly nose rash, my grandmother had skin cancer on her nose, so I am concerned about what this may be.  I went to a dermotologist and they thought it was not lupus or cancer, but was stumped. what do you think.

I'm stumped too.  Te only oozing nose rash I know that doesn't come from scratching is herpes cold sores, and it doesn't sound like that.  Are you sure you never rub the rash when it itches?  You might want to take a photo of the spot when it appears, or else  arrange to see the doctor as soon as the spot appears.  That way the doctor can do a culture or some other test.  Lupus and cancer are out of the question.

Best.
