Possible HPV or genital warts

Possible HPV or genital warts

I recently had unprotected sex 4 days ago.  It was very brief, maybe 30 seconds and I stopped because i didn't have a condom.  2 days after I noticed a small red bump on the shaft of my penis and then on the 3rd day I had a pimple right above my lip and now another one of the other side of my lip.  I am not having any other symptoms at all.  I am just very nervous.  I messed up and didn't wear a condom and read way too much stuff on the internet.  Is this possibly HPV or genital warts/warts.  Would two days be way too fast for this to show.  I did change soaps, the nurse said it may be the reason for the red bump on my penis.  Just way nervous.  I went and got a std test today but they don't test males for HPV.  Thanks

Hi,

This could be acne, pimples, folliculitis and in rare cases genotal warts. Do not panic - maintain good personal hygiene and wear lose comfortable clothes. keep the area well moisturised and do not use strong products locally.

let us know about how you are doing and if you need any other information.

Regards.

In everything I have read, that is too quick to be a genital wart, but don't quote me on that, I could be wrong. However, the pimple by your lip is definitely not a genital wart. Genital warts can not be popped, as they have nothing inside. As for the bump on your genitals, it could be a genital wart. Hpv is very common after all. Here are some guidelines regarding genital warts:

Genital warts are flesh colored, or usually the same color as the surrounding skin. They can appear lone or in groups or clusters. They can be large or small. They can be flat, raised, or appear as skin tags. While most sites state they are cauliflower-like in shape, this isn't always true or even mostly true. They can be any shape. Genital warts do not itch or hurt, but they may cause some discomfort. Compared to common warts which may be present on the hands or feet, genital warts are usually much softer and smoother.

Perhaps you should see a doctor to help ease your mind. And keep in mind if it is a genital wart, they are easily treatable.

Good luck! :)

Does anyone know when the earliest you would see signs...  It's already starting to go away..  I noticed it 2 days after contact.. Its day 5 now and already looks like it's going away.. It is just a red mark on the shaft but I am not exactly sure what people mean by cauliflower shape..
