Possible Herpes? HPV? Slight burning sensation...

by Jigsaw24, Nov 10, 2006 12:00AM
I'm a 24 year old male and I've only had one partner which i've engaged in full intercourse with. About a week ago, I had spent the night at another woman's place-there was no oral sex / no intercourse sex involved just heavy kissing and "dry humping" and some fondling on the gential area but primarily with our her pants and my boxers as a barrier between us. I had slightly moved my hand in her pants for a few seconds never reaching/pentrating the vagina.

She told me after that she did infact have level 1 of HPV. Obviously since then it's been a big concern of mine if that's all she had. 2 Days later I started to feel some sort of very slight itching (could be normal) and midweek i've had almost slight icy hot burning sensation on my genitals and scrotum area. I don't know if this is my mind overreacting or not.

Also would like to take note that I had bought a brand new pair of boxers and wore them (unwashed) that same night, so i'm wondering if this might be a reaction of the heavy "dry humping" between the woman and I and the unwashed cotton fabric.

I have had no visible signs of lumps or red dots, no pain when urinating and no excretion of white fluid through the penis. Only sign is the hot sensation and itch.

Could this be a sign of herpes? Also is there a chance i might still contract HPV (I know I can't know for sure since its not detectable in men)? Could this be some other STD? Like i mentioned above, there was heavy kissing, and fondeling of the upper torso but no real fondeling of the lower other than dry humping. I did get an STD test done just in case and i'm waiting results but I'd like to get some opinions on this. Thank you

None of this sounds like herpes, just anxiety over herpes.  I don't really know what "level 1 HPV" means, and HPV refers to warts rather than herpes.  Without direct, skin-to-skin contact, transmission of either would be most unlikely, to say the least.  I think you should forget about it.

Best.
