Possible Male Yeast Infection?

Possible Male Yeast Infection?

I am a 23 year old male. Approximately two years ago I noticed some slight discoloration on the tip of my penis. One small spot on the front of my penis and one larger spot on the back. Sense I first noticed it, the discoloration spots look as if they may have became larger. I am sure it’s nothing and is just a normal, healthy, minor skin change but seeing that it is some type of discoloration that was not there until a couple of years ago I am wondering If it’s possible that I was exposed to some type of yeast infection that could explain the discoloration that I am seeing. I have attached two pictures that give a pretty good idea of what I am asking about.

Welcome to the Dermatology Expert Forum! I support your positive attitude.

In general, it sounds like nothing to worry about, but two penile skin discolorations with no other objective or subjective symptoms, and very slow progression in last two years, are rather non-specific findings, so it potentially could be description of quite a few skin disorders.

If affected skin is lighter, vitiligo should be considered. If you see some changes in skin texture as well, lichen sclerosus, scars, Pityriasis versicolor (caused by yeast Malasezzia furfur) or even warts are diagnoses to be looked into first.

If affected skin is darker, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, sun spots (lentigines) and melanosis are most common diagnoses, but any irregular accumulation of pigment melanin should be evaluated by a dermatologist.
