Possible STD? I NEED HELP!!!

by robodog, Jul 28, 2004 12:00AM
I am a 26 year old white male.  About four years ago I noticed a dull pain in my left testicle.  About a year or so later I noticed small white bumbs on the shaft of my penis and on my scrotum which are very abundant and appear to be under the skin.  They do not hurt and cannot be popped like pimples.  What also worries me alot is that my crotch area and my anus are always sweaty and moist, which in turn leads to almost constant itching in these areas.  I have also had a sharp pain that occurs every once in a while in my left lower abdomen (which may be a hernia, since I lift weights quite often).  I have been to a different doctor every year since this all began (all GPs), and have been told I had everything from a yeast infection to "guys just have moist crotches".  What is really odd is that all these things (with the exception of the bumps) seem to get worse in warm weather.  I had an STD test about two years ago which came out negative.  I have never had any problems with urination or any type of fluid excreting from the tip of my penis. I just don't know what else it could be?  I have also developed these white pimplish bumbs on my buttocks and outer-upper thighs.  This has caused great anxiety in my life.  I have looked at an unbelievable amount of information on everything from STDs to Candidiasis.  Any type of assistance would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

I'm not sure you have any abnormaility at all.  White bumps in this region are usually cysts, which are part of normal anatomy.  As to the pains and moistness, I don't know what to make of those, but they don't suggest an STD.

My advice is to see a dermatologist, get a diagnosis you can trust, and then move on.  You need to get past your anxiety, and you should get whatever help you can to do so.

Take care.
