Possible Thinning of the skin

Possible Thinning of the skin

Hello.  I have had mild psoriasis for about 7 years only on my scalp and nails.  The doctor prescribed me Ultravate .05% for my nails.  About a year agoI started noticing some small red patches of what I assume is psoriasis(got tested for STD's) on my penis and started using the ultravate on it.  I used it maybe once or twice a month in small amounts and have had the small tube refilled about three times.  For the last month I have had red line like sores on my penis that get very agitated after sex and have also noticed the veins in my penis are more noticeable.  I stopped using the Ultravate about a week ago but I am still very sore.  What can I do to heal the sores?  I read that AHA lotions can help lessen the effects of skin thinning.  What can I do?  Any thing else to help me?  Is this permanent?  Very scared that I made a big mistake using the Ultravate.  Please help!

Ultravate is too strong for regular use on the penis.  However, skin thinning is entirely reversible.  All you have to do is stop using the Ultravate, let the skin heal for a couple of weeks, and use only moisture lotion.  Then you dermatologist (you should consult one) can prescribe a weaker cream for what I assume is psoriasis of the penis, which responds very quickly to weak medications.

Take care.
