Possible allergic reaction

by Chiz525, Jun 03, 2008 10:49AM
I went recently(Saturday 31st) to get a pedicure done and notice when the lady was rubbing my feet with the lotion that on both feet I got this ithcy feeling on the tops of  my feet and when I looked down at my feet I notice that on both tops of my feet I had just a couple of red bumbs.  Well as the days went on I have several red bumps on both the tops of my feet and ankles and also my inner thighs. I cant recall changing anything like lotions, laundry soaps, etc.  I know that I haven't been in any woods lately.  I guess my question is im using Hydrocortosone and taking Benadryl.  The weird thing is my feet are the only thing that itches. Is there anything else you suggest that I do????

Hi,

This could be allergic reactions to unknown substances, skin hypersensitivity, eczema, dermatitis or insect bites, psoriasis.

Have you had allergic reactions in the past? Are you allergic to any specific substances?

You should try to keep the area dry and clean. Try some powder to absorb the sweat.

Apply calamine lotion at the site and take some oral antihistamine medications like loratadine or cetrizine for your complaints.

If the symptoms are still persistent after a few days, consult your dermatologist and get a proper clinical evaluation done.

Let us know if you have any doubts and keep us posted on how you are doing.

Good luck.

I have had alergic (allergic) reactions recently to snuggle Fabric softner.  And It kinda goes look like this.  But I have it on the tops of my feet like from my big toe all the way to my ankle, so its on one side. Same spots/side on my other foot. I tired to take a bath and that made it itch worse.  I just hope its not like poison Ivy or anything.  But if its on my feet could it spread to my inner tighs and Im now noticing smaller bumbs under my arms now and around my bust line(but there small and not itchy)
