Possible melanoma diagnosis

29 yr old female who was just diagnosed with pagetiod atypical melanocytic hyperplasia with spitz nevus features.
when I look this up all I get is Melanoma diagnosis. I want to know if I have Melanoma or if this was caught early before it actually turned into a melanoma. My dermatologist says its pre melanoma but I want to know why all articles tell me its melanoma. Very worried and distraught over this. THANKS!!!
