Post laser hyperpigmentation under eyes

Post laser hyperpigmentation under eyes

I work for a plastic surgeon and 4 months ago he performed a profractional laser to my face.  He went extremely deep under my eyes which has now left me with dark hyperpigmentation and it looks awful.  Is it treatable? or am I stuck with it.  When I ask him he suggests putting a filler called sculptra undernealth my eyes eventually but I dont want that. I look tired all the time and have black shadows and I am only 23:(  Any suggestions please.  I dont think he finds it important because I am not a paying client.

Hi,

The treatment of hyperpigmentation that follows several laser procedures would utilize hypopigmenting agents. Many combinations of tretinoin, hydroquinone, topical steroid, α-hydroxy acids, kojic acid and azealic acid have been advocated. Discuss which option is best for you with your dermatologist. Combinations of Vitamins C and E and glycolic acid are commercially available and may also be useful.

Take care and keep us posted.
