Psoriasis And Staph infection

My daughter has been diagnosed with mild psoriasis which started when she was about 20 years old. Since then, she has had several flare ups. Each time she has an episode, the doctors always say she has staph infection also. How are these two related? Is she being miss diagnosed for one or the other? Is there a Mayo Clinic or some other "expert" institution that I could send her to for a complete workup and get a better handle on what is really happening to her body?

I am skeptical that she has staph every time her psoriasis flares. The two conditions are unrelated. Perhaps you should get another opinion, but it doesn't have to be at the equivalent of the Mayo Clinic, since both psoriasis and staph are common. Neither is serious, but what you're looking for is some clarity. If your current doctor has indeed cultured staph bacteria every time, then the diagnosis of psoriasis needs reconsideration, I think.
