Psoriasis on penile shaft?

Psoriasis on penile shaft?

Hi, I'm a 28 year old healthy male.  For the past two weeks I've had a strange oval shaped rash on the underside of my penis shaft.  The rash runs horizontal just below my circumcision scar and is about a size of a dime.  The rash is slightly elevated on the skin, semi-defined border, and appears scaly with red bumps scattered throughout the rash.  The rash is painless but can become slightly irritated from vigorise rubbing (masterbating (masturbating)).  My masterbating (masturbating) habit has increasely great the past few months due to having to work away from home and being bored.  I'd regularly masterbate 4-5 times a day.  The tempature where I work averages in the 100s almost everyday which means my crotch is sweaty a lot.  My fiancée visited for 4 days and we has sex maybe 5-6 times.  Two days after she left while I was masterbating (masturbating) I notice my skin felt raw on the underside of my penis shaft.  I saw the dime shaped rash and a little bit of my skin above my circumcision scar was raw.  The raw skin healed in a couple of days without scabbing or flaking.  The rash on the other hand has remained persistent.  I cut back on masterbating (masturbating) which seemed to help a little bit but the rash remains.  I've been worried sick about rash thinking it might be something serious.  I think the rash is penile psoriasis but I'm not ruling out fungal infection and heaven forbid something viral like herpes.  I'm going to see a dermatologist soon but I'm a bit anxious to find out what this is.  Can anyone help me out?

Hello,
Penile fungal infection is itchy and will spread and not persist as a non spreading rash. You should get this pink spot checked by your dermatologist and get it evaluated for any dermatitis skin or other skin causes like eczema or psoriasis skin. Psoriasis is a long-term (chronic) skin problem that causes skin cells to grow too quickly, resulting in thick, white, silvery, or red patches of skin.It is thought that psoriasis occurs when the immune system overreacts, causing inflammation and flaking of skin.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
