Psoriasis or Cancer

I have a two flake like patches(one very small and other bigger) on the head of my penis. One patch has grown over last 4 months. There is no pain and they are just dry.
I am still virgin so i know this is not STD so i went to Dermatologis today and she diagonosed it as Psoriasis but did not rule out cancer so she gave me Protopic Ointment to use for one month and come back for biopsy if its cured.
I am very worried, please suggest should i go for biopsy without waiting for 1 month or should i get second opinion.
Please help

Thanks Dr for your answer,I have one more concern, she told me that biopsy is the only way to confirm what it is but i was reluctant to go for it right away,is it a right decision, Can you please check the image i posted with this.
She gave me Protopic .01 but i am really worried about that as it has some very strong side effects.
please help.

Try not to worry. I am not a doctor, but if you are a virgin I am assuming you are young. I would be very surprised if you have cancer at that age. Also, the penis gets very little sun exposure so a cancer due to that would seem unlikely. Many skin conditions form that are not serious, the vast majority are common. If your dermatologist seriously thought it were cancer, I bet she would not wait to find out. I suspect she feels pretty confident in her diagnosis of psoriasis. Wait for Dr. Rockoff to respond. Your picture is very clear, and I bet he can give you some reassuring news.

I see no reason for you to even think about penile cancer, much less worry about it.  Patches of flaky skin are symptoms of psoriasis, not cancer.  Please don't worry about this, use the recommended treatment, and follow through with you doctor, who clearly knows what she is doing.

Best.
