Puss Filled Bumps

My question is this: I have several puss filled bumps on both legs on the inner thigh area that hurt at times till I pop them. They seem to be multiplying and I started out with just a couple and now both legs have 3-4 of them. I went to the dermo and have gotten tons of fungal cream and no help. I have also been given Minocycline HCL 100mg caps and that did nothing. I am in pain again and will be going again in a few days to the dermo and need to know what these are. Also can I have them surgically removed. I at this point don't care about scaring if it will rid me of these darn things. A little background info: I'm 43 Male and have has these when they started for 8-9 years but they are multiple now. I have been told they were ingrown hairs but that was ruled out awhile ago from my new dermo. What I need to know is what are these and how do I tell my doctor to just cut them out. Also what would that entail? Please let me know cause at this time I'm just a little scared and need info to make me feel better.
