is mildly atypical, right? Is it necessary to remove it?
2. The dermatologist also stated that he generally recommends that moles be removed within a month of the biopsy. Given the biopsy result, is it necessary to remove the mole immediately or would it be OK to wait for a few months (till November/December)? The reason I am asking is that my boyfriend is very physically active in the summer time, and because of the mole's location, he was told he'd need to stop exercising for over a month after the mole removal. Is there any risk of the mole turning into melanoma in the near future? If so, he would go ahead and have it removed right away.
