I have a few dark-colored hard swellings on my shoulders. Also, when I got hurt near my elbow & knee in an accident a few years ago, the wounds took sometime to heal and little parts of it got transformed into these swellings too. On visiting a ddermatologist, he mentioned that these are killoids.
1. How can I get rid of these killoids?
2. After getting rid of them for the first time, is there a chance of getting them back on those areas again? If yes, how can I prevent that?
3. How can I prevent any wound from turning into a killoid (if I happen to get any open wound in future)?
4. Are killoids hereditory? What prevention can be taken to stop it from being passed onto my child?
