RASH ON NECK, UPPER CHEST AND WORSE BEHIND EARS

I woke up this morning and noticed that I had a rash on my neck.  It is sparsely spaced on my front neck area and begins to get even more spaced apart as it travels down to my upper chest area.  It is also behind both ears, and it seems to be the worst in that area.  The bumps are much closer together behind my ears and seem to be more irritated.  I haven't changed anything in my lifestyle or product usage OTHER than a mineral body shimmer that I used the two days before the rash occured.  The active ingredients in the shimmer are as listed :

*corn starch
*mica/titanium dioxide
*mica/iron oxide
*honey extract
*flavor
*dextrose
*sodium sacchrin
*propylene glycol
*fd&c Red #3

I have tried to search for rash-like reactions for the product by name, as well as each active ingredient, and haven't found any substantial answers.  I haven't used the mineral shimmer at all today but the rash seems to be getting more irritated.  I am going to take a benedryl tonight and attempt to use some hydrocortisol tonight to see if that helps.  I don't have any food allergies, my only allergy is to the medicine, ceclor.  I have never had a skin rash before or any skin problems in this area of my body. The only skin problems I have is mild acne in my chin/mouth area.

Thanks for the help,
Kimberly

My daughter had the exact same symptoms...more concentrated and worse behind the ears and spreading with more space in the chest area.  She has used no new products. We went to the doctor today and they gave us hydrocortisone cream but really couldn't give us a specific diagnosis. They said she wasn't contagious but I am beginning to wonder?

I also have a rash that has started from my upper chest and has spread up to my neck and down my chest. It has spread down the center of my chest and under the pectoral area but not on. it is also behind my ears and more irritated there. i haven't changed anything in my life and have no food allergies, but, i thought it was interesting that i am also only allergic to ceclor.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
From the suddenness of apperanace of rash , it can be due to allergic reaction to the cosmetic product or due to viral infection. Apply calamine lotion and take some antihistaminics like Benadryl. If the symptoms persist then topical steroids may be needed. For this please consult a dermatologist.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

OKAY THE RASH IS SPREADING DOWNWARD, IT IS NOW ON MY BREASTS AND RIGHT UNDERNEATH THEM.  I DID NOT APPLY THE MINERAL SHIMMER TO THAT AREA.
